BOUGAINVILLAEA 65
Designed to completely exceed her owners' expectations, the Kanter Bougainvillaea 65 provides the ultimate in safety, strength and comfort. With the beauty of the stunning tropical flowers that share her name, the Bougainvillaea 65 was built for highly committed, live-aboard sailors who place a high value on stimulating performance, comfortable and even luxurious surroundings and the absolutely highest level of safety.
As part of the next generation of high performance world cruising yachts, the Bougainvillaea 65 is one of Kanter's widely acclaimed, custom-designed and built, light-displacement ocean voyaging yachts.
Like her "Bermuda Series" sisters, the Bougainvillaea 65 boasts exceptional sailing characteristics. Her cutter rig offers a number of sail configurations to help the Bougainvillaea 65 make the most of any wind condition. The bulbed keel design produces a draft of only seven feet, seven inches which helps to turn most coves into potential anchorages.
Designed by world renowned naval architect Chuck Paine, the nexus of the Bougainvillaea 65 is her large pilothouse. Extending over the galley and dining salon and featuring greatly angled glass, the pilothouse bathes the Bougainvillaea 65 in warmth and light and gives her unmatched visibility. Adding to the sense of spaciousness are eight opening hatches and several fixed and opening oversized port lights.
Thanks to its spacious, practical design, walking around the Bougainvillaea 65 means just that - no ducking, twisting or bending required. By combining a constant deck-to-cockpit height with an open, rounded stern seat, twin wheels and an offset cockpit table, those on board can easily carry their gear and navigate through the uncluttered cockpit with ease.
The interior of the Bougainvillaea 65 is warm and inviting, with honey-coloured anegre and light, bright colours throughout. The full-width owner's stateroom with en suite head ensures total comfort and privacy, while the pantry holds a separate washer and dryer, folding countertop, hidden ironing board and storage for total convenience. The well-ventilated U-shaped galley features brushed stainless steel countertops and granite-back splashes, while the dining salon is located across from the galley. Ahead of the galley is a spacious double stateroom with a desk area, full head and large, enclosed V-berth.
Combining practicality and modern technology, the watertight engine room houses a 185 hp Caterpillar diesel that can be easily serviced from all sides with full headroom above. The powerful engine was designed to power the Bougainvillaea 65 at nearly 10 knots of speed in virtually any condition. The engine room also houses a 42,000 BTU air conditioner, water maker and Caterpillar genset, while a bow and retractable stern thrusters have been added to facilitate docking in any condition without the need for additional crew.
Designed without compromise by C.W. Paine, the aluminum-constructed Bougainvillaea 65 was created to fulfill your every desire while offering the ultimate in safety, performance and comfort.
